A joint venture between the UK, Pakistan and Bangladesh styled M/s Experience Accessories Co Ltd will set up a garment accessories industry in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ), said a press release.
The jointly-owned company will invest US$ 6.25 million for manufacturing carton, woven and printed label, yarn, polybag, button, zipper and interlining (woven and non-woven). M/s Experience Accessories Co will create employment opportunity for 198 Bangladeshi and three foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Experience Accessories Co Ltd in BEPZA Complex in the city Thursday.
General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Managing Director (MD) of M/s Experience Accessories Co Ltd Maqsood Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
