JU administration working to ease session jam: VC

SAVAR, July 23 (BSS) : Vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Professor Dr Shariff Enamul Kabir said the present administration is working relentlessly to ease the session jam and eradicate violence with a view to creating a congenial atmosphere on the campus.
Addressing a function here Thursday, he reiterated his vow to establish a pleasant academic atmosphere on the JU campus and said, "Several pragmatic measures have already been taken to eliminate session jam and violence."
Professor Shariff, who was the chief guest at the function marking prize distributing ceremony of Begum Khaleda Zia Hall, sought active cooperation of all towards his sincere efforts to run the university as per the hopes and expectations of the students as well as their guardians.
"Joint endeavours of teachers, students and officials are a must for further progress and prosperity of Jahangirnagar University," he also said at the function attended by JU Pro-VC Prof Muhammed Muniruzzaman, Pro-VC Professor Farhad Hossain and Treasurer Prof Nasir Uddin as special guests. Hall provost Professor Abul Hossain was in the chair.
