JU admission test rescheduled

The admission test of Jahangirnagar University (JU) under the academic session 2013-14 has been rescheduled for Tuesday.
The decision came from an emergency meeting of the central admission committee which was held on Monday noon in the registrar building.
According to the new schedule the admission test will start on 16 February.
A total of four lakh admission seekers will appear for the tests to qualify for 2400 seats this year.
In Journalism and Media Studies department a total of 550 candidates will appear for one seat.  
However, the admission test has been changed two times. Earlier JU administration declared the admission schedule on 2 November. Due to the teachers movement the authority changed the schedule and declared a new schedule on December 17.
The authority again postponed that schedule following the political turmoil.
