JU celebrates 54th founding anniversary

Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Sunday celebrated its 54th founding anniversary with cultural performances, friendly sports matches, pitha fair, and exhibitions of art depicting last year's student-led Anti Discrimination Mass Movement.
The celebrations began with a vibrant procession at 10 am, led by the university's Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kamrul Ahsan, from the Faculty of Business Studies to the Selim Al Deen Muktamancha. Administration officials, deans, department heads, faculty members, other staff and students participated in the procession. The day's event also included prayer for the martyrs of the Anti-Discrimination Mass Movement, blood group tests, and a commemoration at the Muktamancha.
