JU Chhatra Union for arrest of Prof Shafiul killers

Bangladesh Chhatra Union (BCU) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit brought out a procession and held a rally Sunday on the JU campus demanding arrest of the killers of Rajshahi University teacher AKM Shafiul Islam.
They brought out the protest procession from the premises of the Social Science building and after parading the main streets of the campus it ended at Bottala where they organised a discussion programme.
BCU leader Zahidul Islam Zinna, former organising secretary of central unit Manjur Main and general secretary of JU BCU unit Dipanjon Siddhanto Kajol were present at the rally, among others.
Speakers at the rally urged the government to arrest the miscreants as soon as possible and give exemplary punishment to the killers.
Prof AKM Shafiul Islam was killed by some miscreants Saturday.
