JU Geological Sciences Dept opens Automated Weather Station

Department of Geological Sciences of Jahangirnagar University (JU) inaugurated an Automated Weather Station on Sunday. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md Nurul Alam inaugurated the weather station at the Geo Park in front of Geological Sciences Department. The station has been established with the financial support of Japan's Kagawa University.
The Vice-Chancellor said, "The establishment of the station will enhance the quality of education and research within the Department of Geological Sciences. It will also increase the department's capacity for climate research. The enduring friendship between Japan and Bangladesh is noteworthy. Bangladesh warmly acknowledges Japan's role as a development partner.
