JU gets new VC, Pro-VC

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Feb 25: President Zillur Rahman appointed Professor Dr Sarif Anamul Kabir as new Vice-chancellor and Professor Dr Farhad Hossain the Pro-VC of Jahangirnagar University (JU).
The newly appointed VC and Pro-VC took their office through a function at senate hall of the university administration building.
A host of teachers, students, and officers attended the function. Professor Sarif Anamul Kabir was born on 28 February in 1955 in Gopalganj district. He completed his BSc and MSc in 1975 and 1976 from the Chemistry Department of JU. He joined the university as a lecturer of chemistry department in 1979. He is the first JU student to be appointed VC of the university.
