JU holds graduate research conference

Jahangirnagar University (JU) organised a graduate research conference for the first time on Tuesday, focusing on interdisciplinary perspectives on social challenges.
The Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Law and the Institute of Business Administration jointly organised the conference with the theme of 'Navigating Complexity: Interdisciplinary Perspec-tives on Social Challenges'.
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nurul Alam inaugurated the event at Faculty of Social Sciences.
The initiative to organise this conference is commendable and timely. It would contribute to advancing the university's ranking, Dr Nurul Alam expects.
After the formal opening of the conference, teachers and researchers were engaged in discussions covering various topics across nine plenary sessions.
A total of 70 research abstracts were presented across these sessions, featuring contributions from undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, and PhD students representing diverse disciplines.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof Dr Naseem Akhter Hussain from the Department of Government and Politics.
