JU to build Sheikh Hasina Hall for female students

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERITY, July 2 (UNB): The Jahangirnagar University authorities planned to build a female students dormitory to be named after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
JU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shariff Enamul Kabir said the new dormitory will have accommodation of 525 female students. It be built at an estimated cost of Tk 140 million.
Senate members of JU proposed the name of the hall when Dr Shariff disclosed the plan at the 29th senate meeting on June 25.
Besides, a research center would be set up after the name of the Prime Minister's late scientist husband Dr Wazed Mia. Wazed Mia Research Centre will be built at a cost of Tk 100 million.
