JU VC pays courtesy call on President

Newly-appointed Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Prof Dr Farzana Islam paid a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday. During the visit, the first woman vice-chancellor of country's public university apprised the President of various academic activities of the JU.
President Abdul Hamid, who is chancellor of all the universities in the country, congratulated Professor Farzana Islam on becoming the first woman VC of a public university. He directed the VC to take all necessary measures for maintaining proper academic atmosphere on the JU campus, according to a news agency.
