A Awami Juba League activist has been killed in Khulna’s Koira, three days after the Upazila polls. Local Awami League leaders blamed Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir for the killing on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Jahan Baksh, Juba League activist of Amadi Union. He was attacked by Jamaat-Shibir activists around 10am at a tea stall, said Koira Police Station OC Fazlur Rahman. Jahan died on the way to hospital. OC Rahman said Jahan had previous enmity with the assailants over a fish enclosure, according to a news agency.
