Bowler Jubair Hossain made the national selectors proud as he showed an early promise on his Test debut taking two wickets against Zimbabwe on the first day of the Bashundhara Cement Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city, reports BSS.
The right handed bowler took his maiden Test wicket of Zimbabwe captain Brendon Taylor and enjoyed his second wicket of Sikandar Raza who was caught by Mahmudullah to finish his spell with two for 58 runs in 15 overs, including a maiden.
The 19-year old boy from Jamalpur, earlier represented Bangladesh A team and dunder-19s team, also played an important role with Shakib to dismiss Zimbabwe their first innings in a paltry total of 240.
