Jubo Dal leader loses wrist in Chuadanga attack

CHUADANGA, July 12 (UNB): A local Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal leader has been critically injured after a group of assailants attacked him with sharp weapons in Chuadanga municipality on Saturday night, severing his left wrist and inflicting multiple serious injuries.
The victim is Jahin Sheikh (39), former assistant sports affairs secretary of Chuadanga district Jubo Dal and son of Rajab Ali of Hat Kaluganj village under the municipality.
Locals said the miscreants swooped on Jahin near the Homeopathy College around 11:00 pm on Saturday, leaving him seriously injured.
He lost his left wrist in the attack and suffered deep injuries to multiple parts of his body.
Locals rescued the injured and first took him Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
As his condition deteriorated due to excessive bleeding, he was later referred to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), commonly known as the Pangu Hospital, in Dhaka for advanced treatment.
