Jubo Dal president, 6 others sent to jail

A court in Dhaka on Thursday sent Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal and six others to jail in a case filed under the Special Powers Act 1974. Metropolitan magistrate Md Asaduzzaman Nur passed the order when sub-inspector Nayan Miah of Mohammadpur Police Station produced them before the court on completion of their three-day remand, according to a news agency.
