Jubo League cadres cut JCD leader's tendon

PATUAKHALI, Oct 29 (UNB): Jubo League cadres allegedly cut tendons of a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader under Kalapara Upazila Thursday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Ziaur Rahman (26), member of district JCD convening committee and son of Dr Habibur Rahman of village Mustafapur of the upazila.
He was sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical condition at night.
Siddikur Rahman, elder brother of the victim, said local Jubo League cadres Abu Saleh, Jurash, Kabir, Mithu, Ramu, Sohag, Nizam and Paritosh attacked Zia, while he was going to local bazar from his house at about 4 pm. The attackers mercilessly beat up Zia, broke his legs and hands and cut tendon of his right leg.
Local people and family members rescuing Ziaur Rahman from roadside after the attackers left the place sent him to the hospital in critical condition.
