Jubo League leader among 2 held with Yaba

Police arrested two people including a local Jubo League leader in possession of 670 pieces of Yaba tablet in Santhia upazila of Pabna district on Sunday evening. The arrested are Sumon, 33, vice-president of Kashinathpur union Jubo League under Santhia upazila and son of Osman Gony of Satikhola village, and his associate Sujon, 30, son of Gazi Anwar, a resident of Paikorhati village. Being tipped off that Sumon with his two associates were going to Chabbish Mile area by a motorcycle for trading Yaba, a police team conducted a drive in Huikhali area and challenged the bikers. At one stage, the law enforcers stopped the bike and detained its two riders while another managed to flee away. Police recovered 670 Yaba tablets from them, according to a news agency.
