Jubo League leader chopped dead

Some miscreants have chopped a local Jubo League activist to death in Hajipur union under Begumganj upazila in Noakhali district. The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin Rubel, 23, son of Sufi Alam, a resident of the area. Police quoting local people said a gang of miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons near Majid Beparir Bazar and cut tendons and veins of Rubel, a local unit Jubo League activist. He was rescued and whisked off to a local hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, according to a news agency.
