Jubo league leader killed in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, Nov 10 (BSS): A union level Jubo League leader was killed by miscreants at Abbasnogar bazar under Durgapur Upazila of the district Thursday. The dead was identified as Shahin Mia (32), son of Abdul Hakim, a freedom fighter (FF) and AL president of Bakaljura union under the upazila. During the attack Shahin's younger brother Emon was also critically injured. The police said the miscreants attacked Shahin and his younger brother Emon (24) with sharp weapons while they were going to Abbasnogar bazar from their village home. After the incident local people rushed to the spot and sent them to Durgapur Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctors pronounced Shahin dead and referred critically injured Emon to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the sources said.
