Jubo League leader shot dead in Ctg

A local Jubo League was shot to death and two other people were injured in a gun attack by unidentified miscreants in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Hossain, 38, joint secretary of the upazila unit of ruling Awami League’s youth wing and son of Ali Ahmed of Mariamnagar Saudagarpara in the upazila. Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Rangunia Police Station Chandan Chakrabarty said a group of 6-7 masked criminals opened fire on Hossain when he along with others was gossiping at Choumahani on Chittagong-Kaptai road around 8:45pm, leaving him dead on the spot, said a news agency.
