Jubo League man killed in Lalmonirhat

An activist of local unit Jubo League was killed at Mahendranagar in Lalmonirhat Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Fakhrul Islam Bullet, 32, son of Enamul Haque of Chinipara village in the upazila, a news agency report confirmed.
Police said a series of clashes took place between the supporters of Aminur Rahman, a leader of local unit Jubo League and Chhatra League leader Appel over establishing supremacy.
As a sequel to the enmity, the rival group men picked up Bullet and took him to local Mahendranagar Bazar market. They severed the tendons of both hands and legs of him around 11:30pm.
Later, local people rushed him to Sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead.
On information, police rushed in and arrested Appel, 28, in this connection.
