Jubo League man shot dead

Assailants have shot to death a local unit Jubo League activist and dumped his body at Chandpur village in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila. Informed by local people on Wednesday morning, police recovered the body of Shahadat Hossain, an activist of North Joypur union unit of the youth front of Awami League. The victim’s father Harun-ur-Rashid of Gopalpur village of the upazila said Shahadat went out of the house upon receiving a call over his mobile phone on Wednesday night and since then he had not returned. Locals noticed his body with bullet wounds beside a mosque in his neighboring village, Chandpur, and informed police who recovered and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
