Judge regularisation: HC feels embarrassed

The admissibility of a writ petition filed by an aggrieved dropout additional judge over his regularisation remained on tenterhooks as one of the judges of the High Court (HC) division bench on Thursday felt embarrassed after hearing. After the hearing a day before (Wednesday) on the writ petition filed by dropout additional judge ABM Altaf Hossain, a vacation HC bench comprising Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice ATM Saifur Rahman fixed Thursday for order. Emerging from the court today (Thursday), petitioner’s counsel Salauddin Dolon told reporters that it was not immediately known which of the two judges felt embarrassed, according to a news agency.
