The judgment in the graft case against former communications minister and BNP stalwart Nazmul Huda and his wife Sigma Huda will be delivered on August 23, reports UNB.
Judge AK Roy of the special makeshift court at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, set up to try high-profile corruption suspects, fixed the date Tuesday after closing arguments by the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) prosecutor and the defence lawyers.
ACC Deputy Director Shafiqul Islam filed the case against the Huda couple with Dhanmondi police station on March 21 for taking Tk 24 million in bribe from Mir Zahir Hossain, owner of a construction firm.
