Judges reading out Mir Quasem verdict

The judges of a war crimes tribunal have started reading out the judgment in the case against Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mir Quasem Ali on Sunday morning. Mir Quasem is now present at the International Crimes Tribunal-2 in Old High Court area in Dhaka to hear the verdict over his alleged crimes against humanity during the country’s independence struggles in 1971. Three-member panel of judges, led by Justice Obaidul Hasan on Thursday fixed the date for pronouncement of the verdict. The other judges of the panel are Justice Md Mojibur Rahman Miya and Justice Md Shahinur Islam, according to private TV channels.
