‘July warriors’ meet NCC seeking case withdrawal

A 13-member delegation of the ‘July warriors’ met with the National Consensus Commission (NCC) on Monday, demanding withdrawal of the cases filed over last Friday's clash that erupted before the signing of the July Charter in front of the parliament.
Calling the incident as completely unexpected for them, they sought apologies for what happened on Friday over the demands by some intruders, according to a media statement of the NCC.
They said they did not mean to go to the South Plaza of the parliament to create any chaos or violence. However, at that time, some outsiders infiltrated there and got involved in fighting and vandalism, of whom they identified 20 to 25, the media statement added citing the July worries platform.
The commission informed that all the demands brought to attention would be taken into serious consideration. Moreover, those would be informed to the appropriate authorities and the commission would help in taking necessary steps.
The NCC held the meeting at the LD Hall of the National parliament. It was attended by its Vice-Chairman Prof Ali Riaz and other members. A them was present at the meeting.
In the meeting, the ‘July warriors’ informed the commission that many of them, despite having health cards, have been deprived of necessary medical services in various hospitals. At that time, they drew the commission's attention to the demand that a written instruction be sent to all hospitals to ensure treatment of the injured warriors.
