Junior Tigresses suffer 5-wkt defeat to Sri Lanka in 1st T20

Bangladesh Under-19 Women's team tasted a five- wicket defeat to hosts Sri Lanka in the first of four-match series in Colombo on Sunday, reports BSS.
After electing to bat first, Bangladeshi young girls were bowled out for just 109 runs in 19.3 overs with Jannatul Maoua making highest 34. Captain Sumaiya Akter also waged battle with 29.
Sri Lankan girls overhauled the target in 18.5 overs, making 112-5. Dahami Senethma top-scored with 29 not out while wicket-keeper batter Sumudu Nisansala added 27.
As part of their preparation for the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup, Bangladesh are playing this series against Sri Lanka. The tournament will be held in Malaysia from January 12 to February 02.
