JUST student, 3 others die in Jessore truck crash

A student of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) and three others have died in a road accident, triggering violent clashes between agitated university students and transport workers.
At least 10 others, including another JUST student, were injured in Friday's accident between a truck and a human hauler at Jessore's Churhamonkathi.
Kotwali police OC Enamul Haq said the collision left three dead on the spot while the other passed away at Jessore Sadar Hospital.
Deceased have been identified as third-year physical sciences student Abu Hanif, 25, Chougachha Upazila's Khadija Begum, 50, and Anisur Rahman, 22, and Phulsara village's Khairul Islam. All the victims were passengers of the human hauler, according to a news agency.
