Justice MA Matin takes oath

Justice MA Matin, who was elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court superseding his senior, took oath of office Wednesday. Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin administered the oath at a simple ceremony. Judges of both the divisions of the apex court were present, court sources said. A professional lawyer hailing from Sylhet, Matin was appointed judge of the High Court on June 1,1996. —UNB
