Justice Mozammel Hossain calls for ADR introduction

RAJSHAHI, Sept 18 (BSS): Appellate Division Justice Mozammel Hossain has underscored the need for introduction of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to reduce the huge burden of pending cases.
He called for concerted effort of all quarters especially the judicial officials and the lawyers to attain the cherished goal.
Justice Hossain made these observations while addressing a daylong seminar on "ADR introduction in criminal cases and speedy disposal" organised by Bangladesh Law Commission at Jafar Imam Tennis Complex in the city Saturday as the chief guest.
Justice SK Sinha, eminent lawyer of the country Dr Kamal Hossain and Law Commission Chairman Justice Abdur Rashid Mian also addressed the session, among others.
Justice Mozammel Hossain said if the ADR system is introduced, lot of cases will be disposed of outside the court and the litigants will get rid of suffering and costs, he said.
