bdnews24.com reports, JU Proctor Arju Mia, who is under fire following the murder of a student, had a fracas with the teachers' association president MA Mamun on Thursday.
After Wednesday's tussle, eyewitnesses said the supporters of VC and their rivals began blaming each other during a meeting of the association.
The association president adjourned the meeting, held at 11.00 am at Zahir Raihan Auditorium, to pacify the chaos.
Anthropology department teacher Manosh Chowdhury said that the tussle had started while the teachers were leaving the auditorium.
At one stage of the pushing and shoving, Chowdhury said, the proctor attacked the association president.
