Jute Spinners AGM approves 20pc dividend

The 32nd annual general meeting (AGM) of Jute Spinners Limited has approved 20 per cent dividend for the year 2010-2011. The AGM was held in the city Saturday, said a press release. Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company Muhammad Shams-ul Huda presided over the meeting. A large number of shareholders attended the AGM. Among others, directors Muhammad Shams-uz Zoha and Muhammad Shams-ul Kadir, Independent Director AKM Shahjahan, Chief Financial Officer Toffazzal Hossain Bhuiyan and Company Secretary ATM Mostafa were present at the meeting. In his presidential address, Mr Huda said the company earned a considerable amount of foreign currency profit by exporting jute yarn during the financial year. In his address, Mr Zoha thanked the shareholders and related persons for their continued cooperation in the past and expressed the hope that they would continue their support in future for the development of the company.
