Jute Spinners Ltd declares 20pc dividend

Jute Spinners Ltd, a reputed jute yarn manufacturing industry of the country, has declared a 20 per cent dividend for its shareholders for the fiscal 2006-2007.
The dividend was declared at the company's 28th annual general meeting (AGM) held at the CIRDAP auditorium in the city Wednesday.
Chairman of the company Mohammad Shamsul Haque presided over the AGM.
The AGM also approved the annual audited report for the year 2005-2006 and appointed auditor for the next financial year.
Directors Muhammad Shamsuz Zoha and Muhammad Shams-ul Kadir, Independent Director AKM Shahjahan, Executive Director Faizur Rahman Chowdhury, Chief Financial Officer Toffazzal Hossain Bhuiyan, Company Secretary ATM Mostafa and a large number of shareholders were present at the AGM.
In the AGM, the chairman informed the shareholders that the company earned a substantial amount of foreign currency and profit by exporting jute yarn during the current fiscal.
He said Jute Spinners Ltd has earned a position of respect in the world jute market due to the high quality of its products and overall excellent services.
He thanked the shareholders and other persons, agencies and organisations concerned for their continuous support and co-operation in this connection.
