Jute spinners marching despite global mkt gloom

Jute Spinners Limited has been trying to boost exports, despite turbulence in the international jute market, the company's managing director Shams uz Zoha said.
Mr Zoha, who is also the chairman of Bangladesh Jute Mills Association, the private spinner has earned reputation in the global jute market, thanks to having quality products and dynamic services.
He was speaking at the 35th Annual General Meeting of the private jute yarn manufacturing company, held Saturday in the city, the company said in a statement.
Chairman of the company Muhammad Shams-ul Huda presided over the AGM.
Shahida Hossain, Muhammad Shams-ul Kadir, independent director Md Harunur Rashid, executive director Md Faizur Rahman Chaudhury, chief financial officer Tofazzal Hossain Bhuiyan, company secretary ATM Mostafa, among others, were present at the meeting.
