Kader Siddiqui to appeal on EC decision

Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) president Abdul Kader Siddiqui on Wednesday said he will challenge in the High Court the Election Commission’s cancellation of his nomination for the March 29 by-election to Tangail-8 (Basail-Sakhipur). “The Election Commission (EC) has illegally cancelled my nomination. We’re thinking moving the High Court and appeal against the decision,” he said. Kader Siddiqui made the remarks while giving his instant reaction to reporters at his residence after the district election officer scrapped his nomination, according to a news agency.
