Kafiluddin Mahmud passes away

Former finance adviser to the caretaker government Kafiluddin Mahmud had passed away, reports bdnews24.com.
Mahmud died of heart failure around 3pm Friday in the city's Square Hospital. He was 84.
Mahmud had served as the finance adviser during Shahabuddin Ahmad's caretaker government.
His body has been taken to his Dhanmondi residence from the hospital.
The first Namaz-e-Janaza of Mahmud was held at Dhanmondi's Takwa Mosque after the Esha prayer.
He will be buried at his family graveyard in Dakkhin Dharmapur village of Fulgazi Upazila, Feni.
Mahmud left a son and two daughters.
Mahmud had also served as finance secretary, NBR chairman and in many other important government posts. He began his career as an officer of Pakistan civil service.
