Kahlin Joshi of India clinches Amateur Golf Championship

Kahlin Joshi of India clinched the title of the Runner Group 26th Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship held at the Kurmitola Golf Club in the city Saturday, reports UNB. The Indian young star displayed superb performance in consecutive four rounds to confirm his maiden victory in Bangladesh. He is very excited and happy indeed, to march ahead with his golfing career after winning this title. Four rounds scores of Joshi are 69+70+69+73=281 which is 07 under par gross score. Defending champion Ali Hai of Pakistan came back strongly in the final round with 03 under par score and secured runner up title while Sajib Ali and Zakiruzzaman of Bangladesh finished 3rd and 4th respectively. In the ladies single category, Sonia Akter of Bangladesh won the title. Her compatriot Liza Akter secured runner-up position. Both the young girls participated in such an international tournament for the first time. They are trainee golfers of the Royal and Ancient financed Talent Hunt programme.
