\\\'Kalni Express\\\' catches fire

A fire broke out in a compartment of an inter-city train in Dhaka Cantonment area on Tuesday. However, no causality is reported. Fire Service Control Room's duty officer Shahzadi Sultana said fire broke out in a bogy of the Dhaka-bound 'Kalni Express' passenger train from Sylhet near Cantonment Railway Station. The train has been plying on the Dhaka-Sylhet rail route for the last four years. On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot around 1.30 pm and doused the blaze. Cantonment Police Station OC Atiqur Rahman said that the fire erupted from a gas cylinder of the dining coach of the train which was coming from Sylhet city. The flame has now been put out, he added, according to bdnews24.com.
