Karnaphuli Garden City fire doused

A fire at Karnaphuli Garden City in Dhaka’s Shantinagar area has been doused. It was not clear how the fire erupted and spread across the third floor of the 19-storey high-rise on Saturday morning. Fire Service control room official Monirul Islam said being informed, 7 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot from different fire stations in the city and controlled the fire nearly 40 minutes after it had erupted. No casualty was reported so far and the extent of the damage was yet to be ascertained, Islam said, according to bdnews24.com.
