Karnaphuli Paper Mills earns Tk 120m profit

RANGAMATI, July 21 (BSS): Karnaphuli Paper Mills Limited (KPM), an enterprise of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), has earned a profit of Tk 120 million (12 crore) in the fiscal 2007-08, officials of the KPM said.
The KPM authorities have been trying to increase its production by modernising the mill, sources said.
The modernising of the mill is being implemented at a cost of Tk 1.82 billion with a view to increasing its production capacity.
