Karnataka restrict Bangladesh A to 158

Karnataka took a 5-run lead against Bangladesh ‘A’ team in the first innings on day one in their three-day match at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground in Mysore, Karnataka, on Tuesday. The Bangladesh ‘A’ cricketers, who have been touring India since early September, opened the first innings with bat after winning the toss and were restricted to a meagre 158 in 38.4 overs. Number-7 batsman Shuvagata Hom scored the team highest 55 runs off 67 balls with seven fours and one six while number three Liton Kumar Das hit run-a-ball 50 with 11 fours. Saqlain Sajib (not out 15) was the other double digit scorers for the side. M Prasidh Krishna grabbed five wickets for 49 runs while Udit Patel took two wickets for 11 runs.
Karnataka opened their first innings on the first day and at stumps were 163 for 6 in 49 overs. Shishir Anil Bhavane was batting on with team highest 55 off 88 balls involving eight fours and one six. Abhishek Reddy scored 28 off 38 balls with five fours while Ravikumar Samarth (25 off 42; 4x4) and Mayank Agarwal (16 off 26b; 3x4) and Jagadeesha Suchith (batting 14 off 50; 1x4) were the other double digit scorers for the side.
Shuvagata Hom and Saqlain Sajib grabbed three wickets each for 29 and 48 runs respectively.
