KAU Bill, 2015 passed in JS

The Jatiya Sangsad passed the Khulna Agriculture University (KAU) Bill, 2015 Sunday in an amended form, reports BSS.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid proposed passage of the bill with a view to establishing a new agriculture university in Khulna to impart higher education in agriculture.
According to the bill, the establishment of the university will help impart higher education in agriculture to students side by side with carrying out research and studies on the subject.
The proposed law will also pave the way for innovating new technologies aimed at increasing agricultural production in the country.
