Kawnia upazila Jamaat ameer arrested

RANGPUR, July 10 (BSS): Ameer of Kawnia upazila unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Abdus Salam was arrested from Rail Gate area of the upazila town on Friday afternoon.
Police sources said the Jamaat leader was arrested from a house as he went there to take part in a secret meeting.
Police arrested him for his alleged involvement in sabotage and subversive activities.
Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kawnia thana, said the arrested Jamaat leader is undergoing primary interrogation.
