Kazi Imdadul Haque takes charge as BSTI DG

Kazi Imdadul Haque took charge on Sunday as the new Director General (DG) of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on a contractual basis.
Earlier on April 30, the Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointment in a gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Golam Rabbani by order of the President.
According to the notification, Kazi Imdadul Haque's appointment holds the status of a secretary for a period of one year from the date of joining, under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
During his tenure, he will not be allowed to engage in any other profession, business, or employment relationship with any public or private entity.
The notification also stated that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined through a formal contract and that the order has been issued in the public interest.
