KCC mayor vows to make Khulna city free from drugs

KHULNA, June 03 (BSS): Newly-elected mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque today asked the law enforcement agencies to strengthen the anti-drug drives and arrest listed drug traders for making Khulna city free from drugs.
"After the prime minister's instructions, they have hit the ground and conducted drives against drug dealers," he said while addressing a meeting at Khulna Press Club.
Human Rights Protec-tion, a rights organisation, arranged the meeting with its president Dr Kamrul Islam in chair.
Khaleque, also the president of Khulna City unit of Awami League, said many families of the country were destroyed by drugs.
