Kejriwal: A fresh air in Indian politics

Wednesday, 25 February 2015

Kejriwal has halted the irresistible BJP and achieved a sweeping victory in Delhi polls. Many view it as a wakeup call for the BJP and I am sure the BJP will now give its political strategy a fresh thought. It is a welcome change for the Indian politics. Big political parties should change their mindset and start counting on people's power only. People of today anywhere in the world have become more conscious about their rights and strength. The political parties which dominate politics of the subcontinent should rise to the occasion if they want to survive.
Kejriwal brings fresh air to Indian politics as voters of Delhi voted him to power with an overwhelming majority. He was elected because he promised them to end corruption and bureaucratic misdeeds. Before the election Kejriwal assured the people of Delhi that it was possible to eradicate corruption from their state. The common people want their leaders to be humble and accept their failures. In our country we never see our leaders accepting their mistakes and on the contrary they rather try to defend them to the end. It is high time our political leaders learnt their lessons from the example of Kejriwal. Otherwise they are also likely to have the same fate as Congress and BJP encountered in Delhi elections.
