Keya Cosmetics long-distance swimming competition today

The Keya Cosmetics 9th National Long Distance Swimming Competition, organised by the Bangladesh Swimming Federation, will be held today (Saturday) in the Shitalakhya River, reports UNB.
The daylong competition will begin from the BIWTA VIP terminal in Narayanganj at 10:00 am and conclude at Munshiganj Launch Ghat in the Dhaleswari River.
Bangladesh Swimming Federation president and Navy Chief Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam will be present at both the inaugural and concluding ceremonies as chief guest.
National Sports Council (NSC) secretary Mohammad Aminul Islam Khan, director (Sports) Haiul Qaiyum and Keya Cosmetics managing director Abdul Khaleq Pathan will be present as special guests.
Earlier on June 9, 10 swimmers -- six men and four women - were selected for the meet through a competition held at the Mirpur National Swimming Complex.
Besides, Mohammad Aslam Hossain and Mohammad Khalilur Rahman Polash from the hosts Narayanganj DSA will also participate in the competition.
The male swimmers: Karar Samedul Islam, Abdul Hamid Ripon (Navy), Mohammad Monirul Islam (Alamgir Swimming Complex, Rajshahi), Zakir Ullah, Shahe Alam (Air Force) and Mohammad Abdul Malek Zihadi (Sagarkhali Swimming Club, Kushtia).
Female swimmers: Sabura Khatun (Sagarkhali Swimming Club, Kushtia), Lovely Khatun, Momtaz Shirin (Bangladesh Ansar) and Aduri Khatun (Saint Martins Oceanic Swimming Club).
