Khaleda accuses govt of secret killing, corruption

FENI, Jan 8 (UNB): Accusing the ruling party for secret killings, corruption and compromising national interests, opposition leader Khaleda Zia today said the perpetrators will be dislodged from the power through constitutional movement and brought to the dock.
"We have ample evidence of heavy corruption, secret killings and plundering of national wealth by this government. They will be brought to the dock," she told a public meeting amid cheers and slogans at Pilot High School ground in the evening.
Khaleda said a white paper listing the misdeeds of the government will be published if and when her party returns to power.
She urged hundreds of enthusiastic audience to join the street movement against the government for which a programme will be announced tomorrow from a public meeting in Chittagong Take to the street to protest the misdeeds of the government. "I will also be on the street along with you."
Referring to the recent spate of secret killings across the country, the BNP chairperson dubbed the ruling Awami League as 'government of killers' She pointed to the scam in the stock market, repeated price hike of fuel oil, electricity, gas and essential commodities that raised miseries of the common man.
"During the three years of misrule, this government has caused miseries to the people when the rulers have had hey days of making unearned wealth. They cannot be given any more chance of plundering the nation," said the opposition leader.
