Khaleda appears in court today

BNP Chairperson and 20-party leader Begum Khaleda Zia is likely to appear before a court in old part of Dhaka on Wednesday in connection with two ccorruption cases filed against her by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC). Court sources said Khaleda Zia is scheduled to appear before the newly appointed judge of Special Judge Court-3 Abu Ahmed Jamadar in connection with Zia Charitable Trust case Zia Orphanage Trust case. Meanwhiule, party sources said the BNP chief may go to the court in Old Dhaka from Gulshan around 11:00am. The court has fixed today (Wednesday) for recordimg statements of the witnesses in the 2 graft cases. A large contingent of law enforcers has been deployed outside the court premises to avoid any untoward incident centering Khaleda’s appearung before the court, according to a news agency.
