BNP Chairperson and 20-party alliance leader Begum Khaleda Zia returned to Dhaka from Natore amid darkness on Saturday night. She left the capital for the north-western district in the morning to address a rally, organised by the local unit of the BNP-led 20-party alliance. Khaleda who addressed the mammoth public rally at Nawab Siraj Ud Doula College ground in the district town on Saturday afternoon, reached her Gulshan residence around 10:58pm, a couple of minutes before power supply fully resumed to the capital after a massive blackout in a swathe of the country. Earlier in the day, Khaleda had left her Gulashan residence around 10:25am for Natore. After addressing the rally in the district headquarters, Kahleda went to Natore Circuit House and took rest for a while. She left Natore for capital at 6:40pm, according to private TV channels.
