Khaleda calls for unity to face conspiracies

GAZIPUR, June 2 (BSS): BNP Chairperson and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Khaleda Zia Tuesday called for unity to face the 'ongoing conspiracies' against her party.
She made the call while addressing BNP leaders and workers at a discussion marking the 28th death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman here.
"The country is passing through a bad time as the economic situation is not good and prices of all essential commodities are high with no development work yet," she also said while criticizing the government.
Among others, BNP leaders Brig. Gen (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, Air Vice Marshal (retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, MA Mannan, Barkat Ullah Bulu MP and Fazlul Haque Milon also addressed the function.
Gazipur district BNP unit organised the discussion with party leader Hasan Uddin Sarker in the chair. The discussion was followed by special milad mehfil and distribution of cooked food among the destitute marking the occasion.
